#LoveOZYA

What's this all about?
Here in Australia, we have some freakin' amazing YA authors. Sadly, their books often get lost in the sea of US and UK offerings. There is a massive movement going on at the moment to try and create awareness around the incredible stories written by local authors. This stemmed from a list of the most borrowed books in Australian libraries, of which, in the YA category, only two out of the top ten were by Australian authors.

To contribute to the love fest, below you can find my favourite Aussie YA novels and you can click on the cover to take you to my review. You may have noticed that almost all of my favourites are contemporary books. That's not to say there aren't plenty of wonderful fantasy, sci-fi and historical stories out there too, I'm just a massive contemporary fan.

In the coming weeks, I'll be adding links to articles and lists that people have created of their own favourites and recommendation lists. Please feel free to email me if you would like your post added to the below list.

The hashtag #LoveOZYA is also being put to good use on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so go forth and use it!

There are now Instagram and Twitter accounts for the LoveOzYA movement. Follow for news and recommendations.
